Type 40 • A Doctor Who Podcast
Episode 163: Reel Times with Keith Barnfather
There’s the official Whoniverse of Doctor Who: on telly and in officially licensed media and extra programming: that’s big enough! But on the flipside exists an even larger, wilder and more industrious domain of the UNOFFICIAL…
Our returning guest, Keith Barnfather has been there pioneering much of that! For over four decades now, he’s been running Reeltime Pictures. A small, independent production company mostly known for their line of Who-related documentaries, dramas and especially their long form interviews with cast and crew of the classic series.
Hosts Antony and Dan sit down with Keith to talk about himself, this time! Those accomplishments and more. Recounting trials and triumphs along his way and teasing future productions and plans, as he always does! What a pleasure it was, to welcome Keith Barnfather back for another conversation here on our long running Doctor Who Podcast. Returning for 2026! You can listen in HERE now:

I enjoyed Type 40 podcast immensely and I highly recommend Doctor Who fans to check it out. Loved the interview with Keith Barnfather and I can’t wait to check out his website and purchase a couple of DVDs. Also, looking forward to catching the video version of Type 40 on YouTube. All hail Dan Hadley, Birmingham’s King of the Geeks for an interesting, insightful and joyous podcast.
